All about the clothes

This Sunday was my last day on the first round of The Intensive – so I am just delighted to see the finish line in sight.  So brutally did the darling little Chloe rip my bikini body apart (less her fault actually, more the fact that Colbert opened round the corner from my office – the best almond croissants in town.  Was hoping that their £4.20 price tag would put me off (sadly not) that I am about to embark on another.
I did one 6-week Intensive after Sophie, two 6-week Intensives after Emily and Chloe will take the same.  To be honest, I am hardly counting down the days, as it’s no real hardship for me and I enjoy it, but I do want the result sooner rather than later.  I’d be lying if I said I was motivated by my VO2 max – it’s all about the clothes.
I spent a couple of hours on Sunday plouging through my work dresses for my imminent return to the clinic and I’m super excited to wear gorgeous clothes again as my Sussex uniform has really set in.  I literally change straight into workout gear in the morning, so I’m ready to slot in a quick session or two whenever my day allows – and so I’ve worn my Proskins and Petit Bateau for six weeks now.
At least when Emma was working from our office in the garden she would raise a perfectly Shavata’d eyebrow at me if I was looking more ‘slummy’ than ‘yummy’ or give me ‘that look’ if a Boden parcel arrived (and I’d quickly explain it was for the girls).  We all need an Emma in our lives to make sure we don’t go down the slippery path to mail order (and I’m not talking Net-a-Porter here).  Anyway – holding up my dresses – I’m a lot closer but still two sets of Spanx away.  And I loathe Spanx – you can spot them a mile off and it’s just smooth fat as opposed to wobbly fat.  No, ta.
I’ve a couple of celebrities to meet next week and every time Emma adds something to my diary I call to check ‘You did tell them I’ve just had a baby’ to avoid that up and down scrutiny that we always get as we greet new clients.  Anyway – take me as I am – I’m work in progress.
Alarm’s set for a good hill walking session tomorrow before the school run!
